Driving Permit
We empower individuals to embrace independence by preparing them for the CT DMV driver’s license examination. Our programs foster cross-cultural friendships and provide safe spaces for cultural exchange among refugee and immigrant youth.
Refugee Women Circle
In collaboration with community partners, Elena’s Light creates and runs a 5-week program for refugee women. Our clients share that they leave feeling empowered and passionate about learning everything from health insurance to skills for landing a job, good childcare practices, and more. These workshops are taught by our staff.
Online ESL
We connect clients with personal tutors for online learning that is specialized to each woman’s level of literacy. Classes are 100% free to clients. We offer flexible scheduling options conveniently offered in the comfort of the client’s home. Our staff coordinates and provides services in Dari, Farsi, Pashto, & Arabic.
